There are Indian Jews, Japanese Jews, Yemenite Jews, Norwegian Jews, Ethiopian Jews, Italian Jews, Chinese Jews, Swedish Jews... and so on...
There is no *one* 'ethnicity' which represents all Jews.

Love us or hate us, people are rarely indifferent to us. Perhaps one of the most frustrating aspects of being Jewish, is how misunderstood Judaism tends to be.
Not surprising, really. We're a tiny minority, and people who never meet a single Jew, or who get their 'facts' on Judaism from unreliable sources, can often end up with misinformation.
Often it's our Christian friends who show the most interest in Jewish beliefs. Increasingly, this derives from the fact that the key figure in Christianity, was of course Jewish. It's only natural that Christians therefore seek a deeper understanding of their older Abrahamic sibling.
The purpose of this site is to offer simple, candid Jewish answers to the questions and challenges raised by Christians on a regular basis.
Some of the questions are genuine enquiries about Jewish theology. Some are hilarious but are still indicative of misunderstandings between Jews and Christians. Some are strange, some are insightful, some are offensive, some are just downright hilarious!
Many reveal the genuine interest that Christians have in Judaism; an interest that sadly, some of them may be shy in expressing, for fear of causing ‘offence’ or revealing ‘ignorance’.
Well, as we say in Judaism: there is no such thing as an ‘ignorant’ question. After all, if you don’t ask, how do you learn?!
Sometimes, Jews and Christians will not like what the other has to say. But you know what?
That’s tough.
Christians just have to accept that Jews will never worship Jesus.
Jews have to accept that Christians believe this is ‘wrong’.
The two faiths will never agree on this.
But that's fine. They don't have to.
They just have to respect each other.
My hope is that this blog might help our Christian friends in gaining an accurate picture of Judaism, while also proving helpful to Jews who are struggling to answer challenges posed by evangelical Christians.
And I hope that some of the more bizarre posts might make you smile...
